Marrambidya Wetlands walk
Hike in Wagga Wagga, NSW
This 20-hectare wetland exists to share the culture of local Wiradjuri people. It also acknowledges the traditional name of the Murrumbidgee River (Marrambidya). Originally ponds used for a water treatment facility, the reserve now provides much-needed habitat for birds, fish, insect, and frogs. It's a relaxed loop walk and provides the opportunity to learn a little about the art and culture of the local Wiradjuri people.
