From Long Beach in the south to Pacific Beach in the north, Washington’s rugged coastline packs a salty punch with some serious highlights and plenty of hidden gems. Westport and Long Beach are both known for laid-back vibes, welcoming locals and consistent surf breaks, while Leadbetter Point, Oysterville and Oceanside offer a more secluded coastal experience where you may well have the beach to yourself. And though the weather can be unpredictable, and the water bone-chillingly cold, there’s something so special about rugging up in a Riparide cabin or lodge and watching the wind and waves shape the ancient coastline.
