Skyline Ridge Track

Featuring breathtaking views of Ngauruhoe, Tongariro and Lake Taupo, this short underrated track takes you to 2,300m on Mount Ruapehu. We decided to hike up from the Whakapapa ski field car park, however, you can also take the Sky Waka gondola halfway which makes this hike only 1.5- 2hrs return.
