Tongariro River Trail

A 15-kilometre loop track you can walk or bike, with two fun swing bridges to cross – Red Hut and Major Jones. You can take dogs, but keep them on a lead to keep the nesting whio safe. Such a fun, easy and winding grade-two trail. Take your togs for a polar plunge and explore lots of the angler tracks to hidden fishing pools and spot the trout.
