Wild Kiwi Spotting at Tawharanui

Arguably one of Auckland's best-kept secrets, Tawharanui regional park is home to the North Island Brown Kiwi and one of the best places to see them in the wild. We headed out just after dark, armed with red light torches as we wandered quietly along the ecology trail. It took some patience but we were lucky enough to spot 3 wild kiwis!
