Three Sisters and Elephant Rock

Known as the Three Sisters, these 25-metre rock formations are found near Tongaporutu, on the North Taranaki coast. Another spectacular formation called Elephant Rock once stood alongside the sisters, before losing its trunk to erosion in 2016. At low tide, you can walk along the river and around the point. An interesting six-toed foot has also been drawn in nearby caves.
