Haumoana Farmyard Zoo is a lovely little stop for something different while exploring the area. Wander through and meet the animals, then head out on one of the horse treks offered on the property. One of the best parts is that you can spot the horses grazing in the paddocks right beside your hut, making the countryside feel even closer. It’s a peaceful way to spend a couple of hours and enjoy a taste of rural Hawke’s Bay without having to venture far from your stay.
