Hidden in a bamboo grove down a quiet lane in Mullumbimby we visited a local hot-spot Kiva Spa, beating the crowds for an early sweat in the yurt styled wood-heated sauna. We put our feet up and had a relaxing soak in one of the four jet-streamed spa pools. The steam room has a high domed roof and marbled walls, creating a misty experience, and there is even a cold plunge pool that completely invigorates the senses after being in the heat.
Kiva Spa transported us to a place of stillness and invited us to reconnect with ourselves. We both left feeling recalibrated, the perfect start to our retreat deep into the hills of The Inner Pocket.
