Farm Stay At Sheltered Paddock

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be some animal and tractor noise during your stay with us as we are a working farm that cares for animals and crops.

The space

The Sheltered Paddock sits in the quiet neighborhoods of the Pyrenees Wine Region, overlooking a large lake and looking out onto the rolling hills of the Pyrenees Ranges. It has easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.

The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

If you plan to bring your soap, shampoo, or toothpaste, we ask that you bring biodegradable products to ensure that greywater runoffs flow easily and do not harm the environment. Thank you!


Other things to note

- No mobile reception
- No unregistered guests or visitors allowed.
- No smoking inside, except in designated areas
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without your land host's permission.
- Wi-Fi is available for an additional fee of $10 per 5 gig. Password will be provided at check in, as we operate on metered satellite internet. Please pre-arrange at least 24 hours prior arrival.
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and any electronics when you leave the house. Don’t forget to close the windows and lock the door.
- We are pet friendly. Pets must be kept on close watch when outside of the unit at all times and please inform your host if you plan to bring your pets at our property.
- Fence improvement is on-going for a safer space for your pets. Hence, please keep an eye on your pets and have them leashed at all times.
