The Gullhouse is completely secluded – you will not see another building – only the rocks, ocean, birds, whales, seals and surf.

Eagles soar over the gull and cormorant roosting rocks in our view. These same rocks provide a resting place for migrating pelicans. When the tide goes out you are treated to some of the most stunning tide pools in Oregon, teeming with sea life.

Whales spout in view of the Gullhouse and mesmerize our guests for hours as they watch in awe. We hear over and over how the Gullhouse and its atmosphere brings our guests to a profound sense of appreciation for nature. Many feel there is something serenely magical about this lovely little spot.

Located across the street from the beach.

Every thought has gone into making your stay pleasant and hassle-free, from contactless check-in and check-out, high-speed wireless internet, comfortable king beds in each bedroom, high-quality bed linens, luxury reclining sofas, 3 TVs and DVDs, a bluetooth sound system, spices and condiments, guest spa/bathrobes, binoculars and ocean view hot tub.

Beach access is across the street. There are also 4 State Parks with direct beach access within a radius of 2 miles from the Gullhouse. Please use extra caution when crossing the road, it can be very dangerous, especially for small children.

The tide pools across the street draw visitors from all over the world. In addition, there are miles of walkable, sandy beach from our area down to the Waldport bridge, about 5 miles.

The little town of Seal Rock is within walking distance (1/4 mile) where you will find eateries: Indulge (fabulous ice cream shop and home of the Evil Brownie) and LunaSea the seafood restaurant. Across the street from the stores is Seal Rock State Park.

Oregon has legalized recreational marijuana use, but it is not legal to use it in public. You are welcome to take advantage of the privacy of the yard/garden, but please do not use in the house. We want you to enjoy the space we have provided for you, relax, and have a good time!

This is not an ideal property for motorcycle travel. Our road and driveway is gravel and hilly. Please note that others traveling on motorcycles have found access to the Gullhouse difficult.

No vehicles other than standard cars and trucks without permission.
Maximum number of vehicles allowed - 3.

There are bike lanes on Highway 101. The Gullhouse is a natural stop if you are biking the Coast highway.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We are choosing to keep 1 down-day in between each set of guest reservations. Our housekeeper is using EPA approved cleaning products and pays special attention to doorknobs, remotes, phones, and light switches. You will find disinfectant in the house if you choose to give an 'entry wipe down' to assure yourself of your safety. Masks are encouraged in all public places. Please bring your own, and you'll need to bring your own hand sanitizer as well. Thanks for your understanding!

Maximum of 3 vehicles allowed. (Standard size cars or trucks only. No trailers, boats, or RVs without permission. If you are on a motorcycle, talk with us, please!)

Please do your dishes, it is a sign of respect to us that you do not leave dirty dishes for our housekeepers. It is not necessary to leave the kitchen spotless, but please do the basics to avoid excess cleaning events.

No fireworks or firearms.

Smoking permitted outside. Please empty your ashtrays in garbage can outside.

Strict 'no pet' policy. No exceptions.

This is not a rule, but we very much appreciate it if you start a load of towels in the washing machine before you leave. It really helps the housekeepers time!

**The Gullhouse has a fantastic protected view and is closer than many oceanfront homes to the beach. However it is located across the street and there is no access from our home. There are 5 state parks with excellent beach access and parking for your car within a 2 mile radius.
