RETREAT DETAILS
Signal Box has two separate suites with an ensuite. Both have balconies. Garden View has the privacy of a view over the spacious Phillip Johnstone landscaped garden. Garden View has a small kitchenette (no cooking) and a bath as well as a shower.

Puffing Billy View has earth walled ambience and a wood heater.

Both rooms have queen beds and superior linen. Towels are provided.

Gembrook Steam Train station is just 1 km away.
Signal Box overlooks mountain views and farmlands. It is adjacent to the Puffing Billy train line and you can see the train from the property.

The Eastern Dandenong Ranges trail links Gembrook with Cockatoo and Emerald Lake/Emerald township. There are parking points for walking any distance. For those with bikes, there are many rural roads, the Ranges' Trail, and the Warburton Trail nearby. The rural and mountain views are remarkable.

Guests can expect to Rest, Relax and Revive by staying at this unique apartment. It has double glazed windows, rammed earth walls, and all new fit-out.

Signal Box provides a morning choice of fresh juice, snack, fruit bowl, and coffee machine. Restaurants and cafes abound for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The Independent is a renowned restaurant serving Argentinian tapas. 10 minutes walk!

Forest Edge, Elevations, The General Food Store, Hairy Dog, The Local, Bakery, or Spencers Store are some eateries, either within walking distance or no further than 20 minutes drive.

You can catch the Puffing Billy train from Belgrave. There is a frequent bus service to Belgrave train station. Signal Box is a 500m walk from the station.

GUEST ACCESS
The building is designed so that guests have their own entry and do not share facilities with the host or other guests. Parking is in the street where a wider bay is provided. There is no cooking, however, tea/coffee making facilities are provided along with minimal cutlery, glassware, and crockery. Bikes may be stored securely and out of the weather.
Signal Box offers some disability access. Needs are to be discussed with the host prior to booking.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
Meet and Greet and sign-in is required on receipt of the key. The host lives in an upstairs apartment. Garden View and Puffing Billy View suites are on opposite sides of the house and have separate locking systems. Guest privacy is ensured by the building design and a respectful host.
