Hilldene Tiny House Getaway

Welcome to the Hilldene Tiny House. The following information is to help you get acquainted with the Tiny House and the aera. We have sought to equip our Tiny House to a high standard and all the things you might want for a luxurious stay.
We believe that when you are here for however long that you be relaxed comfortable and happy.

Arrival & Departure Information:
The tiny House is located at 190 Stoney Creek Road Hilldene.
Gate is clearly signed posted.
Stoney Creek Road is dirt road which is a turn off from Seymour Pyalong Road.
The entrance gate is located on the left side of the road and the gate has 2 white discs on gate. Gate will be open.
For ease of entry and exit you can leave the gate open during your stay.
2WD vehicles are more than capable for the road. If you come to a dead end you have gone too far.


Check in times:
Check in times is 2.00pm
The Tiny House is open, and the keys are located on the bench. On Check out leave keys on the bench.

Check Out times:
Check out times is 10.00am. Should you require a later check out time we will do our best, but we need to know beforehand (pending same day bookings).
When leaving please ensure the following tasks are done:
1.take rubbish out to bins
2.leave key on counter


ABOUT THE TINY HOUSE


Heating:
The Tiny House has a Split system air con unit. Heating and
Cooling:
Also has a ceiling fan which is operated by a remote-control unit

Electricity: The Tiny House is powered totally by a solar power inverter and Lithium batteries. As the Tiny House is totally off grid with solar charging the batteries, guests should be mindful of power usage.
If the batteries get below 10% then online generator will automatically start to re charge the batteries.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited inside the Tiny House.
Please be aware not to butt out on the ground and be aware of potential fire danger.
Pets:
Due to rural environment and nearby farms with livestock Pets are not allowed on the property.
Parking:
A cleared area is made available for parking. This is the prefer location as to eliminate ongoing vehicle traffic close to the Tiny House.
Please do not drive vehicle around property as some tracks contain hazards and also the potential to become bogged. This will eliminate damage to your vehicle.
Animals and Wildlife
Wildlife is common in rural and bush environments and guests need to take care and safety measures to prevent negative interactions with Animals. If collecting firewood ensure that you check wood prior to picking up, as some pieces may contain spiders inside loose bark and also possible snakes under the wood.
Due to the ongoing wet weather Mosquitos are about.
Guests are expected to take necessary steps of precautions against animals and insects.
Some insect repellent is provided.


Fire
Guests are not to light fires during a Total Fire Ban period or being instructed by the host:
All campfires are to be contained within the fire pit aera.
Pending windy conditions, the Host has the right to ban campfires pending conditions.
Collecting firewood
Some firewood is provided ready for use and guests are more than welcome to collect small to medium firewood for use. Again, be mindful when picking up medium to large pieces. Wood with loose bark on occasions may contain spiders.

NOTE: To call a Ambulance the direct entry to the property is to 195 Speed Road Hilldene as this is the front entrance to the property. This is as the entry and exit has more suitable roads for Ambulance.

Pending direction of threat:
1.Move to entry gate and follow road to main Highway ( Do not turn left as the road comes to a dead end)
2. Proceed to host residence located south of Tiny House by following define track. Exit is via Hosts residence front gate (195 Speed Road).

Dams
Catch and Cook Yabbies
Please be aware of property dams especially around the edges as in some areas there are significant edge drop offs into deep water.
More than welcome to have a go at catching Yabbies in the small Dam. Yabbie nets provided.

General Information
Surrounding Background Noise
Please be aware that you are residing in a rural / farm environment. On occasions you may hear neighbouring farms with the occasional gun shots in the far background.
Wildlife at night: (Kangaroos, neighbouring farm cattle).
Cockatoos are abundant in the area.
Puckapunyal Training base on occasions conducts live fire Training ( low Thunder type sound) in the background.
Rear Gate Entry and Exit
During your stay you may leave gate open for ease of entry and exit
Catching Yabbies
If you wish to try having a go at catching yabbies nets are located under the tiny house.

Number of Guests
Only the persons indicated in the booking made by the guest may enter the property unless an alternative arrangement have been agreed to.



Facilities and Equipment provided
While we strive to make sure you have the best possible stay for off grid and rural settings the nature of our business means we may have issues with water, heat, gas and power. Please call Host asap.
Cooking
There are various methods you are able to use as a cooking medium:
1. Gas stove and Gas Oven
2. Open fire pit with cooking plate.
Kitchen fully equipped

Refrigeration
There is a full-size fridge/ freezer for all you needs.
Hosts Residence:
You are more than welcome to walk around the property, and you may see the Hosts residence. For Privacy reasons please avoid walking pass the dams towards the hosts residence.
