Midgard Mountain is a permaculture farm located in Wilsons Creek near Mullumbimby in the Byron Bay hinterland of Australia’s far east coast. The mountain rainforest landscape stretches from the fresh water creeks and swimming holes of the valley floor up to open plateaus, escarpments and peaks of neighbouring national park. A combination of fresh, clean forest air, untainted soils and pristine mountain spring water provide a foundation of health that nourishes people, plants and animals. A collection of organic foods. medicines and botanical resources grow amongst gardens, orchards and a nursery. Sheep, goats, cows, bees and chickens are cared for and work with us to share the grass and weed management loads with mutually rewarding outcomes. Freshly grown produce and hand-made products are available seasonally and guest and visitor experiences, education and skills training are scheduled at limited times.
