Booking Terms & Conditions

We’re so pleased to welcome you to Wallaringa Farm. To ensure an enjoyable, safe and respectful stay for all guests—and to help protect the land and animals we love—please take a moment to carefully read through our Booking Terms & Conditions.

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Occupancy & Guest Limits

The farmhouse accommodates a maximum of 6 adults or 8 guests total, including children.

Only children may use the top bunk beds for safety reasons.

Sleeping on couches, floor mattresses, or camping anywhere on the property is not permitted.

Visitors or extra guests not listed on your booking are not permitted without prior approval in writing. Unauthorised guests may result in a review or forfeiture of your security bond.

If you are planning a celebration, event, or gathering of any kind, you must seek approval before booking. Additional fees and conditions may apply.

2. Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in: From 3:00 PM
Check-out: By 10:00 AM
Please respect these times so our team can properly prepare the property for the next guests. If we can offer alternate check-in/check-out times we will let you know.

3. Cleaning Fee & Guest Responsibilities
A standard cleaning fee applies to every booking. Before you leave, we kindly ask that you:

Load and run the dishwasher

Clean the BBQ and any equipment after use

Place rubbish in the bins provided on Wallaringa Road

Return all furniture and decor items to their original positions

Excessive mess, rubbish, staining, or damage beyond the standard clean may result in additional charges.

4. Noise & Quiet Hours
Wallaringa Farm is a peaceful rural retreat. Please respect our neighbours and surroundings:

Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Loud or amplified music, parties, or disruptive behaviour are not permitted.

5. No Parties, Events or Camping
Unless approved in writing prior to booking, the following are strictly prohibited:

Parties or group events (e.g. hens, bucks, weddings)

Unapproved guests or visitors

Camping, caravans or campervans on the property

Violation of this policy may result in loss of your bond and immediate cancellation without refund.

6. Animals & Farm Safety
Wallaringa is a working farm with livestock and wildlife. For everyone’s safety:

Do not open gates or enter paddocks unless accompanied

Remain within the fenced area around the farmhouse

Interact with horses from your side of the fence only

We appreciate your care and respect for the land and animals.

7. Families & Children
We love welcoming families! Please ensure:

Children are supervised at all times, especially around fireplaces and fragile decor

No pens, markers, or paints are used inside

No food or drink is consumed in the bedrooms

Nappies are disposed of in outdoor council bins before departure

8. No Pets
Pets are not permitted under any circumstances.
Penalty: Full bond forfeiture and immediate termination of stay.

9. No Smoking
Wallaringa Farm is strictly non-smoking.
Violation will result in professional deodorising fees and the loss of your bond.

10. Food & Drinks in Bedrooms
Please avoid eating or drinking in the bedrooms.
Spills or stains may incur specialist cleaning charges.

11. Electric Vehicle Charging

You may use the outdoor power outlet in the carport to charge your EV.

Fee: $30 per vehicle, per stay

Faster EV charging is available at Dungog Visitor Centre (191 Dowling St).

Use the PlugShare app to find additional EV charging locations nearby.

12. Photography & Commercial Use
All commercial, editorial or professional photography must be approved in writing prior to your stay. This is a requirement of our public liability insurance. Please inquire at the time of booking.

13. Security Cameras

For your safety, external security cameras operate 24/7.

There are no cameras inside or in private guest areas.

Footage is only reviewed in the event of a security concern or breach.
By booking, you consent to their use.

14. Damage, Theft & Unauthorised Use
Guests are financially responsible for:

Significant or malicious damage

Missing or stolen items

Damage caused by unauthorised activities or persons

Any illegal activity or theft, which will be reported to authorities

15. Lost or Left Items
We do our best to return items left behind, but we are not liable for anything lost or left behind.

16. Access During Your Stay
From time to time, we may require access to the property for urgent maintenance or essential farm work. We will always provide advance notice unless in an emergency.

17. Third-Party Bookings
The person making the booking must be staying at the property.
Bookings made on behalf of others require prior written approval.

18. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for disruptions due to circumstances beyond our control, including:

Natural disasters

Health emergencies or pandemics

Government travel restrictions

Power outages or road closures

In such cases, no refunds will be given.

19. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your stay. This may cover:

Illness, injury, or COVID-related issues

Lockdowns or mandatory isolation

Flight or travel disruptions

Road closures due to weather or emergencies

20. Security Bond

$500 bond taken with every booking via Riparide, but we ask guests to treat our home with care. Thanks for helping us keep the space beautiful for all.

21. Booking Confirmation
By confirming your stay at Wallaringa Farm, you agree to:

All booking terms and conditions outlined above

Comply with our house and property rules

Accept financial responsibility for any damage or breach

We reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund if these terms are violated.
