Stay in an enchanting cosy "Bush Whare" (rainforest Huts) with en-suite (shower/toilet), at our Nature Retreat. Guests receive hearty breakfasts, evening Glow-Worm tour 1 hour, Rainforest tour 1.5 hour (tours included in tariff), feed Mount Tutu sheep and our cute chickens. Enjoy woodland/water gardens, and awaken to bird song. Protected (QEII National Trust) paradise, with trees over 500 years old. Free Wi-Fi in Guest Lounge and some rooms. Microwave and fridge in Guest Lounge close to rooms, BBQ available. We offer a rustic and authentic experience with the charm and hospitality of yesteryear, built using recycled materials and fittings, styled in the Retro Decor of the 1970's. We have a natural wonderland of thousands of Glow Worms. Experience them up close and personal on a guided tour.

Evening Glow Worm Tour 1 Hour

In a hidden rainforest gully at our Sanctuary, there exists a habitat of a natural fairy light phenomena! These are Glow Worms, and there are more than 5,000 of these. Experience the magic - up close and personal, guided tour incl in tariff, wearing gumboots and heatlamps (provided).

Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing (Shinrin-yoku) translates to "absorbing the forest atmosphere", encourages people to spend time in nature, no actual bathing required! ForestBathing has physiological and psychological benefit, in solitude of the rainforest at Mount Tutu Eco-Sanctuary, perfect to practice by finding a quiet place, to sit and clear the mind.

Animal Feeding And Rainforest Nature Tour 1 5 Hour

After feeding our unique Mount Tutu Sheep, friendly goats and chickens, journey into the rainforest and be immersed in the Natural Ecology and learning of the ongoing Bush and Bird Conservation programmes at the Sanctuary. The Tour incl in tariff, takes place after breakfast.
