Milton Village Retreat

Milton Village Retreat is a secluded one-queen-bedroom, air-conditioned garden cottage in the heart of the historic rural township of Milton on the NSW south coast. Enjoy your exclusive use of a private north-facing deck and fenced lawn. The deck has lounge chairs, coffee table, a large shady umbrella and a Weber BBQ. We welcome a single well behaved and controlled dog (extra fee). It will have exclusive access to a securely fencedin yard and the lawn.

The bedroom has a luxury queen-size bed with topper, a large built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, a lounge chair and bedside tables with device-charging capacity. There is a full sized bathroom/laundry. The shower and toilet have disability handrails (not full Disability Compliant).

The kitchen is open plan with the dining and lounge areas. It has an electric stove, medium sized refrigerator, microwave and a range of appliances (no dishwasher). The living/dining area has a work desk (high speed wifi), Koala sofa bed (thus MVR can accommodate a maximum of 4), lounge chairs and a dining table with seating for 4.

Access to Milton Village Retreat is via a battleaxe driveway. This is diagonally opposite grazing paddocks that sweep across the valley, stocked with sheep and cattle - the best of both worlds - MVR is in a village, it's near the beach and also in the country.

The cottage is adjacent to, but privately separated from both the owner's residence and the co-host's residence. Your hosts - Pip and Bill live in the main house. Though they are old hands at hosting, having owned and operated Bawley Bush Retreat (now Jackson Ranch) for 25 years, MVR is managed and co-hosted by their neighbour-daughter, Rachel.

From MVR it's just a short stroll to the heritage-listed Milton Village with its cafes, homewares, dress shops, cafes and pubs Pubs (Milton (star-rated Aussie dining) and Star, chinese dining); bars (Altar, Harvest, Small Town Provisions and Yuki); cafes (Pilgrims Vegetarian, Brown Sugar Coffee , Peach Coffee, Driftwood); restaurants (Nomah: middle eastern, the Prickly Pear: mediteranean seafood, What's-Up-Bowl: asian and Baar-Baar: indian).

Cupitts Winery is just five minutes drive as are the magic Mollymook and Narrawallee Beaches. Other beautiful surf beaches in and around Ulladulla - just a little further. Mollymook has truly become a fine food lovers paradise: Rick Steins at Bannisters-by-the-Sea and it's downstairs Pool Bar (nothing better located on the south coast); Pavillion Roof Top Bar and Restaurant; and Gwylo which offers the most delicious Asian Fusion share-plate fare you will find anywhere.

There are many short drives to other beautiful locations with longer but easy driving access to the Clyde River and Pigeon House Mountain.
