MOBILE PHONES - if you are on telstra coverage is great, if you’re on another carrier you may not have much signal.

HEATING - we have air conditioning and a cozy wood burning heater

MUSIC - you can turn on the amplifier and connect your phone via bluetooth (Logitech) to stream. Or you can play a record. Please be careful with the records and player as they are vintage and quirky. WATER - All our water comes directly from a spring up the mountain, via a filtering system and is delicious. Please be mindful of usage. Hot water is reheated every night so please keep usage in mind and if you run out it will be ready in the morning. Note that we are on a septic system which treats all our waste water so be very careful what goes down the sink. No harsh chemicals, no bleach, no solids etc.

PROPERTY - Keep in mind our neighbours property lines. Feel free to enjoy our paddocks, orchard and creek. We have the paddocks both sides of the road, the garden shed and orchard are ours but but next to the neighbours garden shed and orchard. If you continue along the road from our property it is a beautiful walk up to other parts of the creek. In the event of heavy, continuous rain the creek crossing might become flooded. You can park a car on the other side just in case and there is a footbridge to cross further upstream. But feel free to contact us if you’re concerned. Most regular cars can drive over the crossing at 30cm.

FIRST AID - There is a first aid kit on the floor under the bathroom bench with compression bandage etc. In the warmer months it’s not advisable to wander through the bush as there are ticks. If you get a tick they are most easily removed with special tweezers in the first aid. In the wetter months it is not advisable to stand for too long in wet grass or ground cover as there are leeches. If you get a leech it is best to remove them by pulling if you see them quickly, otherwise you can apply salt liberally and they will fall off. Clean the bite and apply a bandaid and try not to scratch! It will be like a mozzie bite. If needed the closest hospital is Shoalhaven in Nowra.

GARBAGE - Please take all garbage and recycling with you. We have no garbage collection.

NB - we don’t have a TV but there are board games under the upstairs staircase. There is a great 1 hour bush walk up to an epic view, a short drive away. Search Drawing Room Rocks.
