The Old Clarence Brewery

Built in 1881 this magnificent heritage listed sandstone and brick terrace exudes character and old world charm, enjoy a unique experience at The Old Clarence Brewery. You will be pampered in its tasteful refurbished interiors that subtly blend yesteryear with contemporary.

Within its quaint red brick facade was once a thriving brewery specialising in the production of local delights such as Bulldog beer and Red Crab Stout. At the turn of the century, the business was relocated and the building was subdivided; a sweeping archway now bisects the two separate residences.

You will sleep in comfort, choose between four generous sized upstairs bedrooms, boasting hardwood original timber floors and high ceilings. 2 bedrooms have queen beds, 1 bedroom has a double bed and 1 bedroom has 2 king single bed ensembles, all fitted with stonewashed white cotton sheets for the perfect nights sleep as well as luxurious Bemboka ribbed extra large bath towels, provided for your comfort. The main bedroom has a walk-in robe and a large ensuite with a claw foot bath and shower and lime washed walls adding warmth, character.

The Dining room, Lounge room, Kitchen, Utilities room and Bathroom are all on ground level. The Kitchen is a welcoming space, combining functionality with heritage, you’ll enjoy preparing meals on beautiful handmade wooden benches, using the delightful restored Early Kooka gas cooker and the feasting in the walk-through Dining area, both rooms feature exposed original sandstone walls.
