Stay above the clouds in our hilltop off-grid cabin!
Drive just over an hour from Melbourne, and you’ll find our tiny house nestled our 100 acre property with mountain views. Perched spectacularly atop a steep hill, you’ll catch every magical sunrise and enjoy the changing light in the evening as the shadows fall over the land.
Our tiny home offers a slower pace of life, and has everything you need for an unforgettable stay – including an outdoor bath so you can bathe under the stars!
Please note: our main residence where we live is also on the property and you will see our home as you drive into our property. We do our best to stay low key when guests stay, but you may see and hear us during your stay. We tend to stay on the side from the property gate to our home, so you will generally have from the tiny home towards the end of our property to yourself - this is the largest part of our land and perfect for walks. Our home is situated in a way that it does not face the tiny home, you will see a wall of monument Colourbond cladding from the tiny home if you look up too where we have our home. We have included a photo so you can see for yourself before you stay.
Please remember this is an off-grid stay and our home is powered only by the sun - so if the weather is overcast or foggy, this is going to affect how much solar power the house can produce and therefore how much power you have. So please pack your warm clothes, an open mind and your sense of adventure!

Additional Information
Our Tiny House is a completely off-grid experience. We're powered completely by solar and water comes from our tanks filled with rain water. At night and during overcast days, the batteries will struggle to charge and this will affect how much power you have, especially if you are not mindful of your usage. There is a battery monitor for you to keep track. We've recently upgraded our tiny home so we now have a septic and flush toilet (previously a composting one!).
Our home features a loft style bedroom with Queen size Koala bed and 100% flax linen, a lounge area with a Koala sofa bed (turns into a double), induction stove top kitchen with bar fridge, bathroom with shower, a large living edge timber vanity and a flush toilet. The home is heated and cooled by a reverse cycle air conditioner and multiple fans – plus there is a large fire pit outside. We do not provide fire wood but you're welcome to forage for wood on our land. Please be aware that during fire ban periods over the warmer months, you cannot light a fire and will not be able to use the firepit. We will keep you updated an encourage you to check CFA guidelines. We have an electric hot water system, so you’ll be able to enjoy a hot shower and fill up your hot water bottles for the night! There is an outdoor area to enjoy, consisting of a multi-level deck, cosy outdoor bath, fire pit and of course sweeping breath-taking views from your high vantage point atop one of our hills.
This is the perfect retreat for couples, friend groups or small families who want to escape to the wild and enjoy the rugged beauty of the surrounds, or even use it as a base while you explore further afield. Our 100 acre property is home to many resident animals, and as such the land can be uneven with rabbit holes and the like. The hills are steep, which gives incredible views, but remember to tread carefully and know your fitness levels should you wish to enjoy a hike through the property.
You'll be able to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and area from the timber deck or wander the property spotting native animals, deer and birds of prey.
Infants and Children – You are more than welcome to bring the whole family! We do not have a bassinet or cot, but you are welcome to bring one should you need. Just remember this is a tiny home, so space is limited. Please be mindful the path to the house can get a little rough from the echidnas and rabbits nosing about and the property has steep hills if you decide to go for a hike.
Mobile Reception – For those of you not ready to completely unplug, you’ll be happy to know we have mobile reception (depending on your mobile provider – we can confirm great reception for Telstra though).
Pet Policy – Sorry, no pets allowed. We want our land to be a haven for our native animals.
Resources – Our Tiny Home is designed to be part of nature, if you leave the blinds open you’ll be woken by beautiful sunrises. Please note that due to the nature and location of our Tiny Home, during the cold winter days and the hot summer days you will need to pack your adventurous spirit! We have a reverse cycle air conditioner, multiple fans and hot water bottles all to help keep you comfortable. Our Tiny House is powered by the sun, so at night or on grey days, it can run low – there is a battery monitor so you can keep an eye on your usage and plan accordingly.
Wildlife – This is a wild part of Australia and the onus ultimately is on you when it comes to keeping safe. Be mindful of snakes and other wild animals, such as deer. You’ll enjoy spotting the kangaroo, echidna, parrots, and other stunning native wildlife as they meander about the property.
Waste - We would love it if you could please take your rubbish with you if you are able - there is no waste collection in our area, so every little bit helps!
