Passaddhi Eco Retreat

Nestled in lush tropical surroundings just south of Katikati and 30 min to Tauranga, this off-grid retreat offers a tranquil place to relax, reflect and recharge the mind, body and soul. Take advantage of the on-site massage and naturopathic therapies on offer.

Start your morning with a self-directed yoga session followed by a nutritious breakfast including tasty, fresh, free-range eggs. Explore the many forest walks or beaches close by before returning for your pre-booked massage. After dinner, enjoy the outdoor bath and fire before retiring to your cosy queen-sized bed within your glamping tent.

Pip has a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, shower and sitting area. There are 2 single bunk beds at the end of the bus, and the sofa pulls out to make a double bed. Pip has a great heater that will warm the area in no time, and you may prefer to sleep in her than the tent if the temperature drops during winter.

In the large tent, you will find your cosy queen-size bed, small sofa, table, games, books, yoga and shakti mats. All bedding, linen and towels are supplied. We recommend bringing warm, snuggly clothes, and there are also hot water bottles for those cooler nights, as there is no heating in the tent.

A separate toilet unit contains a waterless Ogo toilet that is very easy to use and a recycled bathroom vanity. The outdoor bath is a great place to relax under the stars. It is run on gas, so there is instant hot water.

Our philosophy is to be gentle on the earth, be mindful of using items that are not tested on animals, are eco-friendly, and palm-free where possible and recycle, reduce and repurpose as much as we can.

We are surrounded by working orchards, and at times there may be noise; however, it is not often and does not last long.
There is an information sheet for you on the workings of the property, which is required to be read upon arrival to make your stay more comfortable.
