We have created a calm, serene country-style cottage with all the trimmings, located on a separate block of land against the backdrop of the bush teeming with local wildlife.
You can relax on the porch in the morning or evening watching the golden light make its way across the valley, while enjoying a coffee or wine and seasonal treats from our greenhouse, or larder. Kangaroo Creek Cottage is situated just south of the picturesque township of Taradale.
Great for both city and regional folk, it is ideally located in Mount Alexander Shire a short 10-minute drive from the Calder Freeway. Around half way between Melbourne and Bendigo, the region is noted for its wineries, markets, restaurants, goldfields history and natural environment. Nearby towns include Kyneton, Castlemaine and Daylesford so there is plenty to see and do!
Beside us is the Fryers Ridge Nature Reserve with kilometres of tracks, fantastic for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding.

In person greeting. Cottage is located 250 metres from parking at main house in wet season and 100 metres from parking in dry season. Guests will be delivered to cottage by buggy to preserve the serenity of the area.
