Escape to beautiful Northland and relax in our lovely Orchard Cottage. Set on 30 acres of native bush, this character one bedroom self-catering cottage is spacious, airy, and comfortable with lots of unique details.

The cottage also offers the ultimate in relaxation with the recent addition of two side-by-side outdoor baths. Wind down with a hot soak at the end of your day this private space is exclusively yours to enjoy. Add a basket of local provisions and discover local treasures.

Comfortably sleeps two people and the French-style daybed in the living area converting to two single beds accommodating up to four people. It suits those looking for a natural retreat, there is no TV but you can enjoy your own music by connecting to the wireless speaker and if you do want to connect with the world, free wireless internet is available for your use.

The setting is rural but not remote and is within a 10-20 minute drive of shops, cafes, restaurants and many stunning beaches. The cottage shares the property with two other small homes, these are not guest houses so when you book you have the cottage surrounds and our lovely native bush to enjoy exclusively during your stay. You're free to come and go as you please, we respect your privacy so the cottage is your home away from home.

Quality linen and towels are provided along with locally blended organic tea, locally roasted coffee (Nespresso and plunger), sugar, butter, milk and basic pantry items are included but you may also like to add a basket of local hand picked provisions ($40NZD) to complete your stay. Private Native Bush Walk

Enjoy a bushwalk on the property down the valley to a lovely rocky bottom stream and picnic area with seating and a hammock. The walk is steep in places but the track is wide with easy access, it's about a 10 minute walk down to the stream.

Yoga Meditation Platform

A short walk on our bush track will lead you to a newly built yoga and meditation platform with a lovely view amongst the treetops. Enjoy the peace and quiet for some nature bathing and restorative relaxation. BYO yoga mat.

There's nothing quite like an outdoor bath - whether you're drinking in the sunrise, afternoon sun, sunset or the stars; the outdoor baths are the perfect place to do it from.

Head Off On A Bush Walk

There is a dedicated bush track on the property right in front of the cottage - descend down into the forest, where you can stop at the platform for a break, a picnic, some yoga or just to enjoy the look out into the bush. There is an old building, and you can even try to spot some cave wētā! If you can make it all the way down there is also a beautiful stream.
