Escape to the charm of this romantic Tiny House, nestled in the heart of Orange’s wine country.
The Cargo Road region is hands down the best place to stay in Orange, away from the town center but at the heart of the action. Boasting the region’s top wineries— there are ten amazing wineries within a 5-minute drive from Meadowbrook Lodge—it’s also home to fantastic restaurants like Fiorini's Italian, Printhie, Rowlee, and Sisters Rock.
Nature lovers and adventurers will find plenty to explore, with Lake and Mount Canobolas, Borenore Caves, and the epic mountain biking trails at Glenwood State Forest (including the Trail of Awesomeness!) and Lake Canobolas Mountain Bike Park right on your doorstep.
Meadowbrook Tiny House has reverse cycle air conditioning and an electric fireplace to keep you cosy and warm in winter.
Picnic table, fire pit & BBQ. The perfect setting to relax after a day of wine tasting, Mountain Biking or sightseeing.
Fern Creek provides the perfect soundtrack to your morning coffee!
The space
The Tiny House is a warm cosy space with a large raised Queen bed. There is a small kitchenette with everything you need including microwave, toaster, kettle and induction cooker. Of course wine glasses are provided!
Guest access
You will have the entire back paddock of our property. There is over an acre of space for you to enjoy, but the best bit is right in front of the Tiny House, which is a really nice bush setting.
If you are going to visit the country you should be in the country! Forget staying in a motel in town. Stay at Meadowbrook and explore the beauty all around.
Wake in the morning to see wallabies hopping through the paddock across Fern Creek.
The Meadowbrook property is a highly unique and historical property that was once a Cobb & Co station and later became the Lidster Post Office and Telephone Exchange.
Nestled within the picturesque landscape of Meadowbrook Lodge in Orange, NSW, Fern Creek meanders through our property, adding a touch of tranquility and natural beauty. This serene waterway holds a special place in Australian literary history as the "Overflow" referenced in Banjo Paterson's renowned poem "Clancy of the Overflow." Born in Orange, Paterson captured the essence of the Australian bush and the freedom of the drover's life in his evocative verse.
The poem contrasts the monotony and grime of urban life with the serene beauty of nature, reflecting the timeless tension between civilisation and the untamed wilderness. Guests at Meadowbrook Lodge can experience this idyllic setting firsthand, surrounded by the same natural splendour that inspired one of Australia's most beloved poets.
Please Note:
The bathroom features a top-of-the-line eco-friendly composting toilet, designed for both efficiency, style and comfort. This innovative toilet uses sawdust instead of water, making it a sustainable choice that has no odour and operates just like a traditional toilet. We’re proud to offer this environmentally friendly option while ensuring that your comfort and convenience are always top priorities.

Additional Information
Important to note that our eco designed TIny House has a Compost Toilet. It is a brand new Nature Loo Alectura premium toilet which is the best design money can buy and does not smell at all, so instead of flushing, you add a cup of saw dust.
Another point to note is that the access to the Tiny House is through a grass paddock. It is easily accessible in most two wheel drive cars, however if your car is really low to the ground you may need to park near the house and walk across the tennis court which is a walk of less than 35 mtrs.

My name is Aaron, and along with my wife Stacey, we have purchased Meadowbrook from Stacey's parents, who owned the property for 25 years. We've always loved visiting Meadowbrook and now want to share that experience with our guests. Even after all these years, we still thoroughly enjoy our time at Meadowbrook. The local area offers a lot to see and do, especially with its many family-owned wineries, providing a unique and boutique experience. We get to sit down and chat with the winemakers and owners. Besides the fantastic wines, we also love mountain biking, which has seen significant investment from the local state government in recent years. We live in Sydney, love to travel, and have taken our small family on a lap around Australia in a caravan. We truly enjoy hosting people and sharing our favorite experiences with fellow travelers.
