Tucked away on a beautiful 12-acre property, Bower Bird Cottage is a cozy retreat just five minutes from Marysville. This one-bedroom cabin features a double bed, a single bed, and an ensuite bathroom. There’s also a comfy couch, a small dining table, and heating/cooling options with the reverse cycle air conditioner and ceiling fans.
The kitchenette has everything you need—microwave, toaster, kettle, bar fridge, compact oven/cooktop, air fryer, cookware, and basic pantry items. We provide a starter pack of tea, coffee, milk, and sugar, and there’s a Foodworks/Go Produce supermarket in town for extras.
Starlink is installed for you to connect to the WiFi, details are in the compendium. This will allow you to watch Netflix (on your own account, don't forget to log out!), and You Tube.
Linen, toiletries, towels, board games, books,cards, DVDs, and even bubble blowers are all provided! A little fold-up picnic table is available for outdoor dining—perfect for a cheese platter and a drink in the fresh air.
Enjoy stunning views from the lounge, take a stroll around the property, or relax by the lake with a glass of wine. You might spot Bower birds, Magpies, Kookaburras, and King Parrots, or even try fly-fishing in the Steavenson River.
For adventure, Lake Mountain offers great bushwalks, and the Visitor Centre in town has maps and local tips. Dining options include The Duck Inn, Kepple Café, Fraga's Cafe, The Buxton Pub, and the Marysville Bakery, plus a local market on the second Sunday of each month.
