Riverstone Cottage is the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city living. The peace and tranquillity of Riverstone Cottage is perfect for those wanting to holiday in a secluded spot, in a unique property full of character and history. Whether you're looking for an adventure filled getaway, a romantic weekend or some quiet family time, the list of reasons to stay goes on and on.

This hand crafted stone cottage sits on the banks of the pristine Goulburn River and if the walls could talk, you would be listening for days. Originally built by hand, stone by stone and once a labour of love, it was originally inhabited by a local family within the historic gold mining region of Tunnel Bend.

You will have your own private access to the river giving you the rare opportunity to jump in directly out the front of the property, maybe after a sauna! You can kayak or drift in a tube and complete the Tunnel Bend Drift… start out the front, float around Tunnel Bend and finish up back where you started… or alternatively, go for a walk through the gold mining tunnel which spans the river bend with the entrance situated on the grounds of the cottage… so much to do or do a little as possible and relax in the tranquil and serene environment.

Note: dogs are not permitted in the newly carpeted bedrooms so if your dog needs to sleep in the same room as you, this is not the listing for you. A $50 fee will be added to your booking due to extra cleaning required

- There are 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds (one with small ensuite)
- Set on 3 split levels, with timber lined cathedral ceilings & slate flooring throughout
- Wi-Fi internet (Starlink, smart TV, Apple TV (no free to air )
- New kitchen with Smeg 6 burner book top and breakfast bar as at Dec 2025.. Open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area you can open up the doors and let nature come inside. New timber flooring throughout.

- a basic supply of pantry staples provided. Cooking oil, S & P, some spices, sauces, vinegar, tea, sugar

I manage a number of beautiful properties in the local area, most of which have direct river or lake access ( dependant on water levels) . All are located very close to Lake Eildon and are within an hours drive from the gates at Mt Buller. River Swimming

Make the most of the pristine Goulburn river flowing past the back door. BYO lilo or floating device. Get dropped off upstream and float back down to the cottage. It's such a relaxing way to explore the river.

River Swimming

It's not often you have your own private river to swim and enjoy. Grab a tube and complete the 'Tunnel Bend Drift' - just jump in the water by the cottage and ride the flow of the pristine Goulburn around the bend and back to where you started!

Riverside Picnic

With the property located right on the banks of the river, it's practically begging for you to throw out that picnic blanket and enjoy a feast of local produce.

Throw A Line In The Goulburn

Just footsteps from the rear of the property you have the beautiful Goulburn river to dip your toes in, throw a line in and catch lunch or dinner!

Tunnel Bend Drifting

This area of Kevington just about becomes an island when the bend of the Goulburn River envelopes the property from both sides. Jump in the Goulburn out the back of the house and spend an hour or so drifting around the river on your tube.

Onsite Sauna Sessions

Whether you've just spent the day tubing the Tunnel Bend Drift on the Goulburn or hitting the slopes at Mount Buller, you'll be sure to ease those tired muscles at Riverstone's cedar sauna.
