Mimosa is a self-contained cabin / bungalow sitting beside a citrus orchard within a certified organic permaculture farm and mountain rainforest landscape.
The Wilsons Creek valley is filled with creeks, fresh water swimming holes, sub-tropical rainforest, hiking tracks, national parks and is a short ten minute drive from Mullumbimby and close to the river and beaches of Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay.
Mimosa sits centrally with views over the plateau, the valley, mountains and sub tropical rainforest with national park boundaries. It has a self-contained kitchen, bathroom (with bath) and internal features.
It has a main bedroom with Queen bed and open plan lounge, living and kitchen. At the far end of the open area, behind a book case but not a closed off room is an extra queen bed and a mattress for the floor for extra people.
There is a TV (no signal / OK for online streamed content) , wifi internet, reverse cycle heating and cooling and a large timber deck with open views, winter sun and summer shade.
The toilet is a dry compost toilet system and kitchen is well stocked and run with gas cooktop and electric oven.
Nearby are sheep, lambs, chickens, cows and goats whom enjoy curious visitors.
Extra guests can be accommodated with other nearby accomodation spaces or using a van / nice tent outside.
The location is ideal for nature and animal lovers, those interested in permaculture, organic farming, self-sufficiency or just seeking a coastal mountain location with convenient access to beaches, local villages, rainforest valleys and other surrounding attractions.

Conveniently located close enough to the coast and nearby attractions but in a quiet, beautiful mountain setting, the Mimosa is suitable for individuals, couples, friends and families on a short to longer term basis.
Within the property, there are some short walks around paddocks, orchards, gardens and into the rainforest and around mountain plateaus
Beyond the borders, there are some walks to Wilson's Creek and some nice fresh water swimming holes with many dozens more accessible by taking a short drive further up the valley. A 5-20 minute drive offers beautiful scenery, organic farms, a nearby cafe and natural fresh water pools surrounded by subtropical rainforest and lots of places to go rock hopping or sitting quietly beside running water.
Also nearby are waterfalls, great hiking / walks with wonderful views, bike riding, big views from national parks and the wonderful river and beaches of Brunswick Heads. Our local village Mullumbimby has lots of markets, shops, cafes, restaurants and 2 pubs and many regular events, activities and festivals.
Other nearby adventures including ballooning, mountain biking, whale watching, fishing, kayaking, north coast towns, villages, Byron Bay and much more.

Midgard Mountain is a permaculture farm located in Wilsons Creek near Mullumbimby in the Byron Bay hinterland of Australia’s far east coast. The mountain rainforest landscape stretches from the fresh water creeks and swimming holes of the valley floor up to open plateaus, escarpments and peaks of neighbouring national park.
A combination of fresh, clean forest air, untainted soils and pristine mountain spring water provide a foundation of health that nourishes people, plants and animals.
A collection of organic foods. medicines and botanical resources grow amongst gardens, orchards and a nursery.

Our large landscape is a mix of vast open mountain plateaus with panoramic views surrounded by sub tropical rainforest.
