CHURCH HOUSE DETAILS

Set over roughly 2 acres The Old Church House has a main bedroom with queen bed and en-suite and a loft bedroom with double bed. Also included in you booking is The Cottage which is set only a few meters behind the Church. It is a cute one bedroom flat with its own bathroom, breakfast bar, main bedroom with double bed, lounge room with single day bed with trundle.

Guests get full access of the property to themselves.

We will be available via email and text usually and have local contacts if there is an emergency and we aren’t in the area.

Only 10 min from the historic town of Wollombi where there are great cafes, shops and a pub. The closest winery is Krinklewood which is an amazing organic winery and has great pigs and peacocks to see. Margan winery and fine dining is fantastic for special occasions and only 15min drive from our property. Pokolbin and all the wineries in that area (Hope Estate, Tulloch etc) 30min drive.

It’s best to have a car and although our driveway is dirt it is accessible by any car even sports cars.. there is only parking for 4 cars, two in the carport and two on the right of the carport. If you’re wanting to tour wineries and not drive it’s recommended to look to hire a local driving company. We often use Grape Experience Tours Wollombi.

There is a Dam on the property, it is fenced from the buildings with barbed wire and chicken wire but small children should be supervised.

If you want to make use of the indoor and outdoor fires please bring fire wood.. there is wood on the property that can be foraged however if it has been raining timber could be damp.

Pets - must be responsible guests, the fences won’t keep dogs in and the neighbours don’t like wandering dogs so they must be kept close and all dog poop removed from the main lawn areas.

Rubbish- there is no rubbish collection so you will be required to take ALL rubbish with you when you check out.

Water - the property is all tank water so bring some drinking water, the tank water won’t make you sick but I think it tastes like tank water.. and please be water wise especially if it’s been very dry lately

Septic tank - do not flush anything down the toilets except toilet paper, even that as sparingly as possible please.. bins are provided in the bathrooms for any other items that need disposal.

Pump in main bathroom - please do not touch this or turn it off, it makes a noise anytime water in the church is used or the toilet is flushed.. it will be relocated when we renovate the bathroom next year.

Reception/wifi - there is no phone reception at the property, wifi can be used in the top cottage and outside but doesn’t reach the church.

Tv - there’s is no tv reception at the property however a selection of DVD’s are there for guests to use.


Please leave the home tidy with all dishes done and put away... all towels and floor mats in the laundry baskets provided and beds left made (we will strip and remake after you leave). Please note there is no rubbish collection in the area so ALL rubbish must be taken with you when you leave.
