PROPERTY DETAILS
The Stockyard Creek Homestead is a Holiday Rental Property and has all you need for a secluded fully self contained holiday.
Off Grid. No 240v power. No internet. No mobile phone reception. Rustic accommodation with a few mod cons such as hot showers and flush toilets. Unlimited Hot water is achieved by lighting the wood fired “donkey” boiler. The 12v low voltage lights are powered by a water turbine and solar. The commercial oven, cooktop, outdoor BBQ and fridge are all fuelled by bottled gas.
The Original part of the Homestead now houses the main kitchen/living room. A large commercial style kitchen with large gas oven and cooker, pots, pans and crockery to cater for large numbers of people. The living room has communal couches, dining tables and a large fireplace.
The sleeping arrangements consist of a selection of private bedrooms and communal bunkhouses , sleeping up to 32 people.
A large outdoor fire pit with permanent seating is located between the house and the creek- providing a wonderful experience for non-fire ban days
You will see there is sufficient wood, split for your convenience, to heat the hot water as well as larger wood for the open fire.
In the Kitchen/ Living area there is a full size commercial kitchen with cutlery, crockery, glassware and pots and pans and cooking implements, couches, tables and benches.
Opening off the kitchen living room is a deck overlooking the lake with more tables, benches and chairs as well as a gas barbecue.
New 12 v LED Lighting is provided throughout the Old Homestead and guests may bring a generator if they wish.
Sleeping configurations:
· Rosie’s Room has three king single beds (3)
· Mamas room has a double bed (2)
· Lake End Room has a Queen size bed (2)
· Woodshed room has a double bed on stilts (2)
· Small Bunkhouse has four single bush beds around the walls. (4)
· Large Bunkhouse has 2 doubles and 7 singles on the bottom level, 2 doubles on left hand side mezzanine and 2 doubles on right hand side mezzanine. (19)
All beds have a foam mattress and mattress protector.

Stockyard is a working beef cattle farm. Stoney Family cattle and horses will be grazing on the property, and we ask they are not disturbed.
If you wish to bring horses, this must be by prior arrangement and will require signing a waiver.
