Neighbourhood overview
Tasma House is located in central Daylesford but on the edge of town, where the town meets the natural environment. The houses are spread far apart, down a one-lane road. It is an old established area, with a mix of ancient miners cottages, and newer homes. It abuts the mineral springs reserve, and the Wombat Forrest, giving bushwalkers, and weekend visitors a chance to walk along the many paths close by the house. Tasma House was originally built in the 1800s as a miners cottage, and then turned into a guest house in the 1920s, re-imagined in the late nineties, and later opened as exclusive group accommodation around 2010. The neighbourhood is friendly and welcoming, with a small-town feel.
