Tumbling Downs sleeps 8-10 people.
There are 2 sections of the dairy with a courtyard separating them.
The east Pavillon includes a sunroom, lounge, dining and kitchen. The Milk room has a queen-sized mattress up in the loft and a single bed downstairs from it. There is also a small dressing room for this section.The room also has a small balcony and steps down into the garden.
The ‘Secondary ‘ includes ‘the blue room’ with double bed, massive living space and then there are 2 more beds with fire and a collection of screens separating the large living space. I have a sofa bed and 2 mattresses that can be made up for the extra guests.
Then there’s the Hollywood bathroom.
There is a second toilet outside for the men!

Tumbling Downs is at the end of 800 metres of dirt road. It’s a battle-axe block so it’s very private.
Set on a hill one can look across through the Exeter valley where kangaroos move in large mobs and cattle gorge themselves on neighbouring properties.
Totally quiet apart from birds and the sighting of the train travelling through the hills.

Tumbling Downs seems to have nurturing healing powers. People go away from here completely relaxed and loved up!

Tumbling Downs offers large entertaining areas with a screened in verandah opening up onto the garden. Guests are welcome to go for walks around the property, a lovely evening walk after dinner up to the front gate and back, the moon and stars should be spectacular on a clear day.

You can have as little or as much to do with me and my animals as you wish. Let me know if you want to participate in learning about the care of the horses and Roos. The horses and Kangaroos need my daily attention so I will be in the stables on and off during the day. I feed the horses twice a day. The stables are not part of the guest's area but if you would like to connect with me at any time for information or pats of horses and kangaroos please sing out! I stay in The Studio not far from the house. You wouldn’t know I’m there.

You may see or hear me feeding the horses and cleaning the stables and arena. You have the entire house and garden. Please soak it up. It’s pretty special.

Tumbling downs is 7 minutes to Bundanoon. Train station, coffee shop, deli, gift store, bakery, bottle shop, Fuel station, fabulous Italian eat in or takeaway restaurant. Jacks Thai is a very popular new restaurant too.
There is a glow worm den and bushwalking tracks in the national park. There is a local swimming pool.
Exeter Village with its general store which is a post office, grocer, restaurant, cafe and gift store all in one is 5 minutes up the road. There are great markets there once a month too. There is a park with an oval. Great place to go kick a ball or have a walk.

There is a gorgeous old church in Exeter too.
A second-hand shop that sells old records, tiles vases tools lawn mowers etc.
Moss Vale or Moss Vegas to locals is a 15-minute drive.

Just down the road at Sutton Forest, The Everything Store is fantastic with gorgeous old clothes Akubra hats and seriously wonderful furniture and bargains!!! Then just next door is the popular hotel, Sutton Forest Inn.

It’s best to have a car when you come to the Highlands but my friends have often caught a train and I go pick them up. It’s too easy.
There are trains and buses into town but it’s a bit of a hike to get to Bundanoon or Exeter on foot.

There is a slow combustion fireplace in each of the dairies.
I will be leaving you wood and kindling and fire starters to help. These fires warm the rooms incredibly quickly and efficiently. Just keep an eye on them.

There are also 2 electric gas heaters in 2 of the 4 bedrooms and one in the bathroom. Plenty of extra blankets and I find it’s sufficiently warm.

Clean up after yourselves in the kitchen etc. Horses are big so respect their space. Stay within the boundaries of the farms fencing.
