The lodge and hall is part of the accommodation on offer at King Parrot Cottages & Event Centre located in the Otway Ranges, nestled on the north-facing hillside of the spectacular Pennyroyal Valley, consisting of five other cottages.
The lodge & hall are ideal for larger groups of people as they are linked together. The lodge has a split-level open plan living area, which allows groups to interact socially in a fabulously spacious environment.
The kitchen has a large display refrigerator, freezer, commercial size stove and oven, microwave and dishwasher.
The top level of the lodge has 3 double bedrooms with king-size beds and 3 bathrooms. There is a bbq and outdoor seating. The whole complex has a long veranda overlooking the pristine Pennyroyal Valley with spectacular views to the east, north & west. The hall is connected to the lodge via a small staircase where 8 single roll-out beds can be added.
King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre has a communal outdoor salt water pool, games room, small gym, own private bush walking tracks (that includes waterfall) that can be used by all guests onsite. King Parrot Cottages also has a two person infrared sauna. Please note that there is a separate charge for use of the sauna. Bookings and payment of this can be made directly through our website.

Additional Information
Please note that the hall is a versatile space that can be used for conventions, seminars, weddings or yoga retreats although this must be booked through us directly as requirements need to be discussed. The hall has a set of 6 glass doors that concertina inwards to open the whole room to the view of the valley.

All beds are made up with crisp white sheets, and a warm cosy doona with additional blankets.
Thick white bath sheet towels are supplied for each guest.
Hall can become a dormitory with up to 8 single beds.

King Parrot Cottages is in the picturesque Pennyroyal Valley near Deans Marsh in the Otway Ranges — about 1.5 hours from Melbourne CBD, 1 hour from Geelong, and 25 minutes from Lorne, Winchelsea, or Colac. It is a perfect base for exploring the Great Ocean Road and the Otway hinterland.
Access
We are a true bush retreat at the end of the valley. Access is via a 4 km winding gravel road with some steep sections, and the surface can be corrugated at times. A 4WD is not required, but you do need to be comfortable driving on gravel.
Transport
You will need your own vehicle as there is no public transport in the area.
Quiet stay and noise policy - Important information
Strictly no parties or loud music. King Parrot is a peaceful, family-friendly property, and guests come here for the tranquillity of the bush. If you are looking for a place for loud gatherings or raucous behaviour, this is not the right fit.
Visitors are not permitted unless staying in booked accommodation. This protects the privacy, safety, and comfort of all guests.
Wildlife
As with any bush setting, snakes may occasionally be encountered. They generally avoid people, but for peace of mind a snake kit is available at reception.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only. They must be on a lead at all times, kept away from wildlife, and must not disturb other guests. If they do, they may be asked to leave.
