Couples sharing time out in spacious cottage with a well-equipped kitchen, relaxing living space and private bedrooms, OR perfect for a honeymoon, hens weekend, or a space to be, in a bespoke crafted space.

We service the cottage daily on request. We have off-grid power & a path with low steps up from the car park. Our conservatory is covered but spills into a grape covered arbour giving a lovely balance of sun and shade. Each booking has exclusive occupancy.

The base price is for up to 2 guests.

The private, self-contained cottage has its own guest library, attached conservatory & garden with fire bath & garden area. The cottage sits up behind the main lodge and has its own parking area. Owners live on-site and are available as needed.

Walking tracks head off to Bush and streams. Glowworms on site. A close summer swimming hole in the stream gives a perfect end to a great day or a hot bath under the stars in Winter.

We love to host and take care of our guests. We will greet you on arrival. We live nearby, on-site, for your convenience; while fully respecting guest privacy.

We have a friendly rural neighborhood. There are private swimming holes in the local streams for the summer, surrounded by cool tree-covered spaces. Café & pub 10 minutes drive away. For more restaurants, Paeroa is a 20-minute drive or Thames 30 minutes.

Travel by car is the way to get around this part of New Zealand. We are handy to bike & walking tracks but most require travel by car to get there.

The Maratoto Valley is a 10-minute drive from the Hauraki Rail Trail, for easy mountainbiking. A great base to explore the Coromandel Peninsula & eastern Waikato by car. We know the area well and can help plan your itinerary.
