This cosy woolshed has been converted into a gorgeous 2-bed cottage with rustic ambience and character making it a truly unique place to stay. The deck looks out onto sheep and deer grazed paddocks with a view of the lake and mountain.

There's an outdoor dining area, barbecue and woodfired hot tub making it a great place to relax with family and friends. Only a few minutes walk to the beach at Stoney Point. Double kayak available for guest use. Lovely family holiday spot. Pet friendly.

A peaceful spot yet only a short drive to Rotorua. This area is renowned for outdoor activities. Fish for a rainbow trout. Take the water taxi across the lake to hot water beach and the Tarawera Falls walking track. Swim in the lake or take a kayak. Go for a scenic horse trek at Okareka.

Visit The Farm Animals

There are both sheep and fallow deer on the property that you can visit. We were lucky enough to stay here in spring when some of the ewes had just given birth to their adorable little lambs.

Relax In The Hot Tub

Is there a better way to relax than in a wood fired hot tub with a glass of wine? We didn't think so which is why we spent most of our evening enjoying this one at the Woolshed.

There is a 2 person kayak available to use which is shared with guests staying at Jack's Hut. Please let us know if you intend to use it during your stay. There are lifejackets available (please use them), use of the kayak is at your own risk. The kayak does have a trailer so if you have a tow ball it makes it easier. If you don't have a tow ball let us know and if we are available we can take it down to the lake for you.
