Wishing Rock Farm Retreat Studio (Carbon-Neutral)

Walk to hiking trails and the beach. We are kitty-corner to Maury Marine Park, a popular destination and viewpoint of Mt. Rainier! The retreat space is in the second story loft. The floor plan is open in the middle allowing for a great place for yoga or just to lounge. The building is multi-functional with a shop and storage downstairs that will not be used (except occasionally during longer rentals) when there are guests upstairs in order to keep the space quiet and private. Our space is unique in its open setting and attractive surroundings.

Guests are free to follow the paths on our 5-acre property or picnic outside.

We are friendly and want guests to have a very comfortable and relaxing experience in their temporary home here. We would like to meet and introduce each guest to our place. However, we respect guest privacy and once settled in you should not expect any interruptions. We do live on the property in a separate home and are around tending to chores, gardening and playing. We are happy to give advice on local trails, interesting sites, activities, points of interest, beaches, restaurant recommendations etc.

We are located in a bucolic and rural setting on the border of the 320-acre King County Maury Marine Park. We are a short walking distance from two entry points into this minimally-developed park. The public beach is a 3/4 mile hike away through the park with an elevation change of approximately 450'. We are also bike-riding distance from mountain biking trails in Dockton Forest and the Maury Island Natural area. Mount Rainer viewing and picnic area is a short walk up our quiet road. The Point Robinson light house is a 5-minute drive from the Wishing Rock Retreat Studio.

There is parking on site. Public transportation is limited and approximately 1 mile away.

We supply a hairdryer for guest use. The loft has an overhead fan and we supply an additional portable fan for the unusual days when it is not cooling enough just to open the windows. We also offer a coffee maker and an electric hot water pot. There is a stove and supplies available for light cooking.

Upon booking your stay with us through Riparide, you assume all liability, risk and responsibility for any accidents or injuries to yourself or others in your party, regardless of cause, that may occur while you are on your property. You are visiting the property completely at your own risk and agree to hold property owner harmless for all injuries and accidents that may occur, regardless of cause or fault. Unmarked hazards, including but not limited to slippery or uneven footing, rugged terrain and primitive stairs. You agree to assume all liability, expenses, and legal fees that may result from any incidents during your stay.
