We always have some farm animals that relish meeting visitors & we are always happy for visitors to help at feed-up time! unreliable!
Coming into Wellington from the south &/or from Orange on the Mitchell hwy.
You will pass the cemetery on your left & will be in the 80K zone of Wellington. Look for a small sign saying CEMETERY on the left & take it. As soon as you do that, you will see on your right a set of white wrought iron gates. These are the main entrance to our place.
DO NOT come through these gates as your accommodation is at the back of the house.
You need to turn towards Wellington on the small dirt road & look on your left (around the corner) a property sign says
Dunbar
M & E Dutton
continue through an avenue of trees & follow the road around to the back of the garden to your accommodation.
If coming from the west &/or Dubbo or North from Mudgee, Gulgong or Dunedoo, you continue through Wellington onto Curtis St & Mitchell h/way travelling South. Once in the 80K zone look for Cypress Ave on your left & then the next turn to your right is a sign saying CEMETERY. Turn right into it. Farm History: the Bell Boat Shed sits in the garden on our farm, Dunbar. The farm was originally a dairy that was dispersed by the previous owner, in 2002.
Our interest in buying the farm was to run my small number of horses. The picturesque Wellington Valley surrounded by hills & rivers, weaved its magic & we have made this our forever home. Living on a river can change the environment overnight, when flooding rains, come! A quiet sleepy river, becomes a torrent of water, that can be quite destructive. The upside being, we are afforded “million dollar views”, when the our paddocks are submerged in water!
Over, the past 20yrs, the farm has become a productive lucerne & corn growing & processing enterprise.
It has been a fantastic family home to raise our 3 children & allow us to truly enjoy a wonderful life.
We hope our guests at the Bell Boat Shed also, get to enjoy a slice of our much loved country life.
