The Ting House offers a tiny home away from home perfect for exploring Friday Harbor. This sweet one room cabin accommodates a small family of three. Featuring a sweet little kitchen, woodstove, one queen bed and a couch.

The space
The Ting House is a one room rustic cabin located in a tiny meadow in a Douglas fir forest. The cabin offers a wood burning stove for heat, propane three burner stove and hot and cold running water. We will provide a cooler for your food items. Your designated bath house is a short stroll away and is complete with a flushing toilet and hot shower for washing up. PPROV0-17-0021

Guest access
Guests have a designated parking spot, and access to a shared bath house complete with flushing toilets and hot shower.

Other things to note
Please note that getting to the island requires a ferry reservation from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. You can see a schedule and pricing information at WSDOT- Ferries. The reservation holds your spot on the ferry. Make sure to arrive at least 45 minutes before the departing ferry. You can make your reservation 2 months before, 2 weeks before or 2 days before your departure. Some standby tickets will be available for drive up however these goes quickly and during the summer months may require a long wait at the ferry terminal. The Ting House is located 1 mile down an unpaved country road off of Bailer Hill on the North West side of the island. As such we highly recommend a vehicle in order to access the property and allow maximum flexibility for sightseeing and seeking out meals. Road bicycles will find our road difficult to navigate and possibly dangerous. Mountain bikes are able to negotiate the access road easily however.
Cell service on the property is spotty at best and WIFI is nearly non existent.
We advise bringing a head lamp or flashlight for treks to the restroom, though we have solar lights illuminating the path our property is located in a Douglas fir forest and the additional light is recommended.
If bringing food items you may want to pick up an extra bag of ice for the cooler. Also please note that the grocery store is open until 9pm and most of the island resturants close between 9pm and 10pm.
Finally this property does have a pet dog. She is big, fluffy and friendly but mostly sticks close to the hosts.

Friendly, compassionate, open and laid back I have a passion for the outdoors, the perfoming arts, wellness. I am the mother of 3 amazing young adults and married to my best pal and enthusiastic travel partner. We met while traveling in Alaska 29 years ago and have had the fortune to explore much of the west coast and wonderful national parks of North America and some of Europe, Central and South America, Australia, Tanzania, India, and South East Asia together. My husband is funny, gregarious, enthusiastic and a born story teller. We live to travel and it is our great pleasure to host other travelers. We love learning about new cultures, meeting new people and discovering as much of the rest of the planet as is possible in the days to come.
