Surreal Silo House
Adventure in Inverloch, Gippsland, VIC, AU
Our Inverloch adventure was a one-of-a-kind experience thanks to the Silo House, a design of epic proportions bringing life back into repurposed materials while still showcasing sleek modern design. This converted shed is situated only five minutes from the main town of Inverloch, where you'll find shops, food, community, coastal life and plenty of places to explore. The house itself has four bedrooms, two which are independent in the silos. You will find an ensuite in all the rooms, flat screen TVs and a split system for hot or cold weather. There are also four smaller beds in the upstairs loft if you wish to add extra guests to your stay.
The open kitchen and lounge space is where we spent most of our time, relaxing by the fire, cooking up a storm and reconnecting with old friends. You'll find all cooking utensils, a barbecue and a laundry, perfect for anyone looking for an extended stay. We visited Shack Bay, Eagles Nest and the coastal reserve. These are all within 15–20 minutes of the Silo House and all offer, epic views, places to swim and beautiful nature.
The Silo House is probably the greatest place I have ever stayed in in my life and it's hard to describe just how magical it is – an absolute must see.

Beautiful costal walk with epic views and rock pools to explore. It's wonderful spot to swim on a summer's day.
A great place for a takeaway coffee, delicious cakes, muffins and freshly baked bread.
A beautiful spot to catch the views of the iconic Eagles Nest – a stone monument that has lasted an age. There is also a lovely costal walk down to the beach, all in the same location.
A beautiful spot for a long walk, swimming, fishing and catching a wonderful sunrise.
