Family Fun at Rainier

We arrived at this creekside cabin in the early evening, settling in for a nice dinner with the family before lighting the fire and playing a game of Uno. The cabin was packed full of potential activities, from new and vintage board games to cassette tapes and an old VHS player. The next morning, we enjoyed some coffee and explored the property, which is right on the river. We met the neighbors, who were staying in a cabin nearby, then set off for a nice day trip to Mount Rainier's sunrise area, stopping at Lake Tipsoo on the way. On the way back, we stopped at basecamp for a quick round of drinks, then enjoyed dinner at Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. That evening we sat out on the front patio and had dinner then lit a fire and made s'mores down by the riverside. Such a beautiful, family-friendly trip!

We hiked up to the Fremont Lookout and surrounding boroughs from the sunrise side of the park. And we were lucky enough to witness an inversion!
