Misty Mornings
Adventure in Capertee, Blue Mountains, NSW, AU
The last hour of work felt like a day. I just wanted to leave the busy Bondi bubble and escape to the mountains. Our bags were already packed and after a quick shower, we were finally on our way. The sky was slowly turning pink and we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset before it went dark. After 3 hours on the road we finally turned down a small dirt road that took us to our cabin. We spent the night eating soup & drinking wine in front of the fireplace. Outside you could only just see the silhouettes of the forest. We woke up to the mist surrounding the trees, it was beautiful. The cabin was glowing like gold as the morning sun came up behind the hill. We made our coffees extra hot and enjoyed them out on the terrace all wrapped up in our winter woollies.
Things We Did
- Horse riding
- Walk
- Takeaway
- Pub

Saddle up and enjoy the Australian bush on the back of one of the beautiful horses that lives just 15 minutes drive down the road from you.

There are plenty of walks surrounding the cabin. Enjoy the beautiful nature and say hello to the kangaroos living in the area.
Just outside the cabin there is a beautiful spot to enjoy a meal or just cuddle up by the fire while watching the sunset. Also an excellent spot to make some s'mores (I loooove s’mores).

A super cosy little hotel located not too far away from the cabin. Head here for some lunch or maybe just enjoy a beer in the sun on the back veranda. Whatever you feel like it’s worth a visit. Craft Works Distillery is also located at the back of the hotel in a small tin shed.
