Serenity Shack

There's never a time I feel more free, and more myself than when I'm in the water; whether that be swimming out into its depths, paddling a kayak or being dragged behind a boat on a wake board! Our rustic little shack stay on the banks of Lake Eildon allowed for all of this. Add in the sound of bird life in the trees, mountain views abounding, and the crackle of an open fire - it's safe to say this location had me in my element.

As the fading light of the setting sun painted the lake with hues of flaxen and gold, we gazed out towards the mountains where an incredible full moon slowly rose into the sky. Lighting the fire pit, we grabbed a blanket and snuggled up as a family on the outdoor couch. It was time to count shooting stars and roast marshmallows over the coals; the kind of core memories I'd wish upon every soul.

'Tim's Shack' is perhaps reminiscent of the Kerrigan's getaway on 'The Castle' - a culmination of one man's Aussie Bush dreams and serenity sought. There's a leather couch beside a wood fire, a rustic family meals area and an outdoor bath for your stargazing. With two bedrooms in an adjoining converted shed you can bring along mates or family as we did, and share in some classic memory making by the lakeside.

After a spot of morning fishing the next day, we reconvened around the timber table, devouring crepes with butter and maple as we absorbed those country views. Then it was time to launch the boat at the nearby ramp and get straight back behind that wake again!
