Dive into rockpool luxury

Tucked away in the lush Byron hinterland, just 15 minutes from the bustling heart of Byron Bay, we found a luxurious oasis that felt like stepping into another world - a world where time slowed down, and nature sang in every corner.

The home itself was sprawling — a beautifully designed three-bedroom sanctuary with open spaces, thoughtful touches, and a feeling of complete ease the moment we arrived. But it was the natural pool that stole our hearts first — the largest we've ever seen. No chemicals here; just crystal-clear water filtered naturally by plants, rocks, waterfalls, and even fish weaving through the water. Swimming in it felt like diving into a living, breathing work of art. Next to the pool, the Dragonfly Hut beckoned us — a gorgeous open-air space perfect for long dinners, sunrise yoga, meditation sessions, lazy poolside meals, and sunbaking under the warm hinterland sun. It became our heart of gathering.

Throughout the gardens, ancient fig trees towered, offering branches to climb and admire the expansive, soulful landscape. We lost track of time wandering the expansive grounds, cooking feasts over the outdoor fire pit, and soaking in the beautiful bathtubs of the two open-air bathrooms, each surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.

Inside, the home was just as magical — a chef’s kitchen perfect for slow breakfasts and shared meals, a crackling indoor fireplace for cooler evenings, and walls adorned with local artwork that captured the spirit of the Byron region. It was a stay of barefoot wandering, firelight conversations, long swims, slow mornings, and a deep reconnection with the land and with each other. A true escape in every sense.

The fire pit in the backyard is all set-up for easy and amazing over the fire cooking. We put t-bone steaks & veggies on there, as well as foiled some sweet potato to roast in the coals. It was scrumptious.
