The Perfect Phillip Island Getaway
Adventure in Sunderland Bay, Phillip Island, VIC, AU
The drive out to Phillip Island Coastal Cabin Estate was beautiful, passing rolling hills, ocean views and grazing cows along the way. From the moment I arrived, I knew I wouldn't want to leave. The cabin is beautifully styled, incredibly cosy and perfectly positioned within nature, overlooking peaceful paddocks filled with animals.
I spent my stay slowing down and enjoying the space. Mornings were spent reading on the couch or working from the stunning upstairs study, with views across the farm. Afternoons were spent relaxing in the bath, watching movies and enjoying a glass of wine alongside a delicious grazing board on the deck while watching the sunset. The fire pit made the evenings even more special.
Beyond the cabin, I explored Churchill Island, hiked Cape Woolamai and discovered local cafés and restaurants. It was the perfect balance of relaxation, nature and adventure.

If you're after breathtaking coastal scenery, Cape Woolamai is a must. I tackled the circuit walk, taking in dramatic cliffs, rolling sand dunes and endless ocean views along the way. The Pinnacles lookout was a highlight, with the Beacon offering incredible panoramic views over Phillip Island and the surrounding coastline.
There are a few different walk options depending on how much time you have, including the Pinnacles Walk (4.5km return), Old Granite Quarry Walk (6km return), Cape Woolamai Beacon Walk (6.6km return), or the full Cape Woolamai Circuit (8km return), which combines all three tracks.

Churchill Island was one of the most underrated gems I discovered during my time on Phillip Island. After crossing the bridge onto the island, I wandered through the historic grounds, watched the farm animals and stopped to admire the Highland cattle resting in the paddocks.
One of the highlights was visiting the animal nursery, where I saw some adorable baby animals up close. Combined with the open green spaces and beautiful bay views, it felt like the perfect place to spend a few hours surrounded by nature.
I followed part of the walking trail along the shoreline before stopping at the café for a coffee overlooking the water. It was a simple but memorable experience and offered a quieter side of Phillip Island that I really enjoyed.

Saltwater was one of my favourite dining spots on Phillip Island, with incredible waterfront views stretching across Western Port Bay and the Phillip Island Bridge. The relaxed atmosphere, fresh local produce and beautifully prepared food made it the perfect place to enjoy a long lunch while taking in the scenery.
