Vintage Coastal Charm
Adventure in Bermagui, South Coast, NSW, AU
A coastal, tree-lined drive a few hours down the coast found us in Bermagui, a beautifully sleepy seaside town that comes alive in the summer. Just out of town was our home for a few days, the Industrial Beat Studio, a former artists’ studio that is now a uniquely created and curated space. With quirks at every corner, the more time we spent here, the more its secrets revealed themselves to us. Antique furniture, cosy armchairs, the best selection of board games and coffee table books, and an excellent kitchen meant our rainy days were filled with cosy comfort and wholesome fun.
With rugged beaches a-plenty, turquoise waters, the famous Blue Pool and incredible mountain views, we spent our days in Bermagui exploring the local beaches and lookouts, sipping coffee in sweet local spots, and ensuring we were well stocked on amazing sourdough and pastries from Honorbread. The stormy weather didn’t stop us from going for some frosty swims at Beares Beach and at the famous Blue Pool, which is easily the most beautiful ocean pool I’ve ever come across. We found our favourite coffee spot at Gulaga Organics, a sweet and earthy organic and bulk food store serving up speciality coffee alongside epic beach and mountain views....

If I happened to mention I was heading down to Bermagui to anyone, whoever it was always had something to say about The Blue Pool. Famous for being one of the most beautiful ocean pools on the East Coast, it did not disappoint. Epic views, beautiful swims, turquoise water set against earthy orange rocks, and if you're lucky, a whale sighting or two....
