Quiet Cottage on the Coast

A mix of seclusion and quiet coastal living is the perfect way to describe our long weekend experience at Warialda.

Our hearts warmed as we entered the property via a dirt road, and got our first glimpse of the A-Frame cottage on the vast property surrounded by gumtrees. We immediately felt like we had our own private slice of heaven. Every aspect of the cottage was thoughtfully styled, igniting a sense of country Australiana throughout which made us feel warm and welcome. We enjoyed many slow moments after we arrived, drinks out on the deck chatting, dinner dates, moments by the fire stargazing while roasting marshmallows, long baths, and leisurely mornings to the soundtrack of nature. Warialda made our usual quality time that much more meaningful.

While relaxing, we realised there was still a lot to see and do around the area. We spent lots of time at the beach, particularly Bluey’s and Boomerang Beach. We also made it to Seal Rocks for sunrise over Boat Beach. We were also a favourite at Drift Cafe ~ their Mushroom Cheeseburger is life. We didn’t quite make it onto the lake (but hopefully next time!)

You’ll find the best elements of the country and space, all while being within 10 minutes drive of lakes and beaches here. This contrast was terrific and gave us a great range of valuable experiences. We will be back!
