Off-the-Grid Waterfalls

I don’t think I have had such a close connection to nature until I had the privilege of staying at Lightstream Sanctuary, a cabin tucked away in the forests of Lowanna west of Coffs Harbour.

It’s not every day that you get your own private waterfall cascading into a glorious swimming hole below while birdsong echoes throughout the wonders of Wild Cattle Creek and the Little Nymboida River.

To refresh the soul, I dove straight into the depths of this magical swimming hole as sprays of cooling mist spun off the waterfalls sheer drop.

After spending many hours by this majestic natural wonder, I traced my steps back to a 50-year-old cabin which is entirely off the grid. It was a dream to watch the sunset as I sat in my secluded wood-heated bathtub with a glass of Two Tails wine, a local delicacy.

Time seems to all but stop here, no phone calls, no scrolling of social media just pure connection to nature.
