Isolated River Tranquility
Adventure in Upper Allyn Barrington Tops, Hunter Valley, NSW, AU
Tucked away in the quietest corner of The Upper Allyn is the Riverside Cabins.
Nestled upon the hillside, under the canopy of native trees and on the bank of the Allyn River. The Cabins offer a true sense of isolation and tranquillity.
Our days were spent exploring the Upper Allyn, pursuing the many hikes and bush walks it has to offer as well as visiting the famous Lady’s Well for a dip and sunbathe.
The cabin itself was uniquely arranged to inspire human interaction, a lounge suit positioned by a fireplace, a dining table placed on the balcony overlooking the river. The sound of water drifting from rock to rock and the smell of blue gum filled our senses.
Dare I say it? “ahhh... the serenity”!

Basically, any road in the area is worth exploring! We hopped in the car and just drove around the roads to explore the area. Every corner is just as beautiful as the next. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for all the local wildlife too!
Ladies well is a must-see if you're staying at Allyn River! It's only a 10-minute drive from the cabins. You can spend the day here bathing in the sun and jumping from one swimming hole to the next.
Chuck on a pair of gumboots and explore the property. The opportunities are endless when it comes to scenic spots. Every corner is just as beautiful as the last
