This establishment had been known by many names over the past few decades. However its original name was “Weardale“ which was the site of the first habitable building in The Patch (formally known as “The Valley”) in the late 1880's and later as a guest house once the original homestead was built around 1912. Back at the turn of the last century, the expanse of lawns used to be double tennis courts, where tennis enthusiasts and writers would come to “Weardale” to escape the congestion of Melbourne. Fast forward 110 years, this charming, peaceful and beautiful Estate, is still a place that people choose to “Come away”. Many have loved it here and we hope that you do too.
