Magical Getaway 90 min from Sydney
Cabin in Murrays Run, Hunter Valley, NSW, AU
6 people
No pets
We are nestled on 100 acres of stunning bushland on Wonnarua Country, in the midst of the Wattagan forest of the Lower Hunter Valley, 1.5 hours from Sydney and Newcastle. Wildlife including lyrebirds, wallabies, wombats, an occasional koala, blue and fairy wrens, kookaburras, satin bower birds, black and sulphur crested cockatoos abound...adding to the fun of our geese, chooks, roosters, wild ducks, current resident Tawny Frogmouth and gorgeous Labrador Luna.
Our self-contained Studio is a fabulous retreat away from city life. Spacious and private, the Studio comfortably sleeps 6 (queen bed, double futon, 2 king singles), with kitchenette, outdoor deck area, sun room, resort-style shower.
Read in the hammock, curl up by the wood-burning fireplace, explore the gardens with organically-grown veggies and fruit, enjoy a fire in our fire pit on the top field as you take in the magnificent sunset, or take a walk down a steep inner road to your own private valley. Immerse yourself in the land, wildlife and beauty of Kawalang.
We are a distance from cafes and restaurants, so kick back and relax and let us cook for you with produce grown organically at Kawalang, or self-cater with a fully equipped kitchenette and fridge. We have car-charging for your electric car, if needed, making it an easy drive back home.
Take in the sounds and feel of the bush...yours to explore or simply breathe in.
