Camping In Style - Cicada Luxury Camping

With our bags packed and spirits high, we set off on a scenic drive that promised an adventure like no other. As we left the coast just outside of Kiama the landscape transformed into rolling hills with vibrant green pastures. Cows grazed lazily by the roadside, occasionally looking up to watch our passing car with curious eyes. The road wound its way through this picturesque countryside filled with palm trees, providing us with a serene canvas.

Shortly after, we arrived at our destination. The View at Green Grocer was everything we had hoped for and more. A cluster of luxurious canvas tents perched on a hill, each offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valley.

The first evening at Cicada Luxury Camping was spent sipping wine by the campfire, the flames casting a warm glow on our faces as we chatted. The stars above were stunning, undimmed by any city lights.

The next morning, we woke stepping out onto our private deck to take in the sunrise. The valley below was painted in shades of orange and pink as the sun made its way up.

After breakfast, we decided to explore the area further by taking a morning swim at Kiama rock pool. The pools were surrounded by smooth rocks, and ocean views. The cool water rejuvenating our spirits. Our day adventure took us to Macquarie Pass Falls. We started with a peaceful walk through lush rainforest, surrounded by tall trees and nature's peaceful sounds. The trail eventually brought us to a series of waterfalls and clear pools where we swam and relaxed for the day.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, we made our way back to the camp, our hearts filled with gratitude for the incredible experiences of the day. That night, we dined under a canopy of stars, the campfire crackling nearby. The magic of Cicada Luxury Camping had left an indelible mark on our souls, and we knew that these two nights had become cherished memories that would last a lifetime.

Macquarie Pass Falls is located in the Macquarie Pass National Park. The beginning of the walk starts on the bottom left of the pass, if you were heading to Robertson up the pass.

The walk begins with you following a gravel road then develops into a worn path following a stream that will be found on your left. From here it is very easy to reach the first of the cascades. The first stop offers a lovely view of some falls with a great place to sit down on some rocks and have a snack or two. Reaching this point is very easy and does not require a great level of fitness.

The next section of cascades requires you to climb. To do this you must cross the river and look for the worn in path that will take you upwards. If you continually follow this path it will take you to the top of the falls. Some of these spots allow for swimming as well as great views in the distance and gorgeous scenery.

Positioned on the north side of Blowhole Point with access via the harbour road, it offers ample parking, on-site amenities, and changing rooms. The pool features an irregular shape, varying depths, and a natural rock floor. A great spot for a quick dip!
