We stayed over Christmas and we are so grateful for all the energy and effort Jan put in to making our accommodation truly special. It is such a lovely place to stay, with an extremely comfy bed, a be...autiful bath, views for miles and all the small details in the accommodation that allows you to deeply relax. Jan and her husband are friendly and available for any questions. They also went and chopped us more firewood and the roaring fire at Christmas made the holiday feel so special. Definitely book a few nights as we loved it so much we extended our stay.

My parents had a lovely and relaxing stay at Shaws Road Winery! Jan was very easy to communicate with to help me arrange this booking and dinner reservation. It is a great country escape that is not too far from Melbourne.

Our stay at Shaw Road Winery was pleasant and relaxing! As the weather was hot on our 1st night we chose to just chill out in the very well furnished apartment sampling the lovely complimentary bottl...e of wine whilst watching the amazing sunset!
We visited the Japanese Mountain Retreat for some pampering and enjoyed a delicious 4 course meal!
It was lovely to meet Jan, the host who made sure the apartment was cool inside on our arrival. We would visit again :)

Wandering Around The Green Hills

We loved strolling through the tall grasses and green hills, walking past the big dam and buying some pears or apples at Apted's Orchards.

Shaws Road Winery

The perfect place to sit down and sip a delicious glass of wine while admiring the magnificent green hills. This is definitely the type of winery we love, a small, cute winery with amazing wines. We recommend the Cabernet Franc-Merlot and the Chardonnay. One of the best wines we had in Australia.
